AEG and Crosstree Real Estate Partners have announced the international debut of Australian F&B brand Butcher and the Farmer at The O2, signing a farm-to-table concept focusing on shared dining.
The brand will join the expanding range of restaurants sitting alongside the outlet shopping destination, ICON Outlet at The O2. In addition, international bubble tea operator CoCo, is taking a unit whilst luxury gelato brand, Snowflake, has also signed for a site. Collectively, the brands will take over 8,100 sq ft of space.
Created by Steve Flood and Will Stewart, Butcher and the Farmer’s first site launched in New South Wales, Australia. The brand has now selected The O2, as the first step in their international expansion and will take a 6,996 sq ft space, with 266 covers. Set to open in September, the farm-to-table concept is backed by executive chefs Flood and Stewart, who have curated a menu with simple ingredients which are sourced directly from farmers and providers.
Global bubble tea brand, CoCo, is set to take a 430 sq ft space in August. This will be the brand’s second store in London following their site in Soho.
London-based luxury gelato brand, Snowflake, is also set to join the venue in August and will take a 700 sq ft space, located opposite Oxygen Freejumping.
Steve Flood, brand manager, Butcher and the Farmer, says: “The London dining scene is an impressive, eclectic market – a place we have always envisaged our unique brand flourishing. The O2 stood out to us as the ideal platform to launch our brand overseas, with our restaurant positioned alongside ICON Outlet, and an extremely high volume of visitors from all across the globe. For our first restaurant in Europe, we wanted a popular location with huge potential and the developing area of North Greenwich in one of the most well-visited capitals in Europe, ticked the box for us.”
