Event caterers Payne & Gunter has secured the contract to oversee the dining offering for leading Midlands’ opera company, Nevill Holt Opera.
The historic caterer has won the contract, following a competitive tender process led by general manager of Nevill Holt Opera Rosenna East.
Under the deal, starting in January 2019, Payne & Gunter will oversee and manage numerous dining experiences throughout the duration of the three week opera festival, set in the historic Nevill Holt Hall and its surrounding landscaped gardens.
Payne & Gunter will provide catering for the main, on-site restaurant and private dining experiences for Nevill Holt Opera’s corporate hospitality.
This will include three-course gourmet dining in a pop-up restaurant; exclusive dining for corporate groups in the walled garden of Font House and the main house; private picnic pavilions for guests to enjoy their own picnic or dine from the restaurant menu; communal dining tables at the Kitchen Garden, curated by Nevill Holt Opera guest chef, Ben Tish. Payne & Gunter will also be launching Nevill Holt Opera’s first-ever picnic hamper service which guests attending the opera can pre-order.

Now in its seventh year, Nevill Holt Opera opened its state-of-the-art, 400-seat opera theatre within a Grade II* Listed courtyard in June 2018, receiving wide acclaim in the national press (‘An indisputable triumph’ – The Telegraph). The opera expects to welcome 4,000 guests to this year’s summer festival season.
Pommery has recently been appointed the official Champagne partner for 2019. The season runs from 12 June – 2 July 2019. Public Booking opens on Friday 8th February with NHO Members enjoying priority access to dining reservations.
