RENOWNED RESTAURANT CHUCS OPENS IN Serpentine Galleries

This month, Chucs will open the doors to its anticipated fourth London site, inside one of the UK’s most popular cultural destinations, the Serpentine Galleries.

Set within The Magazine, Zaha Hadid’s landmark extension to the Serpentine Sackler Gallery, the restaurant will bring a bygone glamour and widely appealing variety of Italian classics to central London, offering a welcoming, all-day dining restaurant.

Yana Peel, CEO of the Serpentine Galleries, London, said: “I am a great fan of Chucs both in Mayfair and Notting Hill. The food always hits the spot with friends and family; we felt the timeless style of the brand would perfectly enhance this extraordinary building. The Serpentine aims to inspire the widest public with the urgency of art and architecture, welcoming up to 1.2 million visitors per year to its Galleries in the heart of the open spaces of Kensington Gardens. We are excited Chucs will be catering to this diverse community of local and global visitors with everything from a celebratory dinner, to a casual breakfast, to a take-away to enjoy in the Park itself.”

Open for breakfast and brunch through to lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, the diverse menu at Chucs Serpentine created by group head chef Carlos Martinez and executive chef Alessandro Verdenelli, includes a number of dishes exclusive to the restaurant, including Pastarelle fritti, macadamia and dried fruit salsa for breakfast and Pea & mint risotto with Reggiano and micro watercress and Green harissa lamb rump, mint gel and cucumber for lunch.

Verdenelli’s new offerings will sit alongside a number of Chucs Italian classics, such as Bigoli Cacio e Pepe and Yellow fine tuna tartare with baby gem.

The menu is complemented by an ever-changing, carefully selected wine list with a focus on seasonal Old World and New World wines, and a wide-ranging cocktail menu including classic favourites from Vodka Martinis to Negronis to Old Fashioneds.

A three-course set menu will also be available for £25, as well as a children’s breakfast and all day menu, comprising of homemade ice creams, juices and milkshakes.

Exclusive to Chucs Serpentine is a take-away menu for those who wish to enjoy their meal outside in the Royal Park, offering a selection of paninis including Spicy Italian and various types of Pizzette, homemade ice creams, and Tiramisu.
