One of England’s most historic houses is throwing open its grounds this summer for a music and food extravaganza.
On 20th August Knebworth House, Hertfordshire, is hosting Great British Prom, when The National Symphony Orchestra will perform a rousing selection of classics, from the Dambusters March and Scotland the Brave, to Land of Hope and Glory and We’ll Meet Again.
They will be accompanied by award-winning Welsh group Only Men Aloud, soprano Annette Wardell and The Home Counties Pipes and Drums on a musical tour through the home nations.
The evening will be brought to a close with Rule Britannia and a spectacular firework display and the venue’s in-house catering team has created a VIP package for guests wanting to make the most of the night.
Along with an exclusive bar featuring unlimited Knebworth House wine, beers, cider, Prosecco and soft drinks, VIP tickets will include a hog roast, barbecued ribs, sausages and a selection of salads, followed by caramelised lemon tart with a berry compote.
“Not only will our VIPs enjoy superb food and drink throughout the evening, but our special marquee will offer great views of the concert,” said sales and marketing manager, Jenna Bateman.
“Our VIP ticketholders also have use of luxury toilets,” she added, “which, as any outdoor concert-goer knows, are worth their weight in gold.”
