In September we held our inaugural SLC Awards, celebrating the best and most innovative F&B venues around the UK. Each of the 33 finalists were invited to the BAFTA theatre in London as a reward for the hard work and brilliant ideas that are combining to make the sports and leisure sector of the British foodservice market stand out. On page 20, you will be able to see who were chosen as the cream of the crop across 10 different categories at the SLC Awards 2016. Congratulations to all who took part in what was a brilliant evening. But, as Freddie Mercury once said, “the show must go on” (there is a real Queen theme going on here). And what better way to do it than by starting at the home of current English Premier League champions Leicester City (page 30) as we meet up with the catering team at the King Power Stadium. Continuing the theme of titles and awards success, the Titanic Museum in Belfast has been crowned the number one tourist attraction in Europe, so we thought we’d trot over there, too (page 10). Elsewhere we take a look at the world-famous ZSL London Zoo and its catering partner Ampersand (page 16). We also visit an immersive dining and live action experience known as A Place in Time (page 39), as well as the beautiful Drayton Manor Theme Park in Staffordshire (page 34).
